New membership rates

NOTICE TO MEMBERS
SUBSCRIPTIONS 2009/10

At the Annual General Meeting held on 29th January 2009, it was decided to increase the subscription rate for Ordinary Members (and, consequentially on all other categories of membership) to £4.00 per month (£48.00 per year for direct-payment Members, the new rates to become effective from 1st May 2009).

Although the extra 50p per month represents a 14% increase, Members are asked to bear in mind that this is the first subscription uplift for 6 years and has become necessary due to ever-rising costs of all materials, equipment and utilities. In particular, utilities, which were subsidised by UKAEA by 40% up until two years ago, have now been reduced to zero.

The subscription rates for other membership categories will be as follows: 

Family Members		£24.00 per annum (adult)
			£12.00 per annum (child under 18)
			£48.00 per annum (dependant over 18)
			£96.00 per annum (2 adult members + all children U18)

Associate Members	£48.00 per annum
			£24.00 per annum (Juniors)
			£16.00 per annum (OAP)

Summer Members		£18.00 (May - August incl.)

Deductions of the new rate for Ordinary Members paying through their salaries will commence in May 2009.

All Members are thanked for their support for the Recreational Association, which will enable the Committee to continue to provide the excellent recreational facilities which members have come to expect at Harwell.
