Volleyball

The volleyball club plays on Friday lunchtimes (12:30 - 1:30) throughout the summer season. The games take place on the main sportsfield - weather permitting. In addition, the club organises a league for teams playing 6-a-side.

The league

There will be a volleyball league taking place throughout the season. Games will be played at lunchtime and there will be a prize for the winning team. Teams should contain at least two ladies, with a maximum of six players on court.

Rules

For the league, teams will be 6-a-side with a minimum of 2 ladies per team. The rules of the game are available here and will also be available in the sports locker. Teams will be expected to referee each other when not playing.

Membership

If you want to play and/or want to be part of the league, then please contact Lorna Proctor, 01235 514972 or lorna.proctor@nuvia.co.uk. If you do not have enough players for a league team, but would still like to play then please let Lorna know and she can pass your name onto other people in the same position. For the season, there will be a charge of £5 to cover all equipment, court care etc. This is payable either in advance, or at the end of your first session. All league teams will be charged an entry fee of £3 per team. In addition to this, all players must be members of the Harwell site RECSOC. Summer membership is available for £16.
