Match Play and Captains
The Club currently has two mens, one ladies and two mixed teams playing in the Newbury and District Evening League (all summer leagues). We are also entered in the Yorkshire Cup. The table below shows match nights and who is captain this season. Newbury League - 3 Pairs - 18.30 start:Team Captains

Coaching
Coaching sessions are arranged during the playing season, depending upon demand. Members are invited to say if they wish to attend coaching sessions at the beginning of the season when they fill in their membership renewal form.Tennis Balls
Four tennis balls are provided per court and are kept in the clubhouses for members to use on the appropriate courts. They are replaced periodically but if any member feels that new ones are required, a phone call to any committee member should suffice. Tennis balls knocked out of court during play should be retrieved immediately. Used tennis balls are taken out of service and are available for purchase from any Committee Member at 10p each.General
Membership of Harwell Labs Lawn Tennis Club (HLLTC) is open to people from any of the on-site organisations or from interested players who do not work on the site. The only pre-requisite is that you must be a member of the HLRA (Harwell Labs. Recreational Association). The HLLTC membership year starts on March 1st and new members are always welcome.Membership enquiries

The three hard courts situated near the Harwell Laboratories North Gate are available at any time to members, except when they are required for Club sessions or matches. A full list of scheduled matches is displayed on the Clubhouse notice board for both summer and winter league games. Lunchtime play is available on a "first come first served" basis but members are asked to play doubles wherever possible, especially on busy summer lunchtimes when court space is at a premium.Club and Match Play
General club play is available on Friday evenings from around 4.30pm, All members are welcome at these sessions. Match practice sessions have priority on Tuesday evenings from 5.30pm Members can use the courts at any other time providing that they are not required for matches. Matches are generally played on Monday Wednesday and Thursday evenings and occasionally on a Sunday afternoon during the summer months. Winter matches are on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.Membership
The annual membership fees are: £30 (£8 under 18s : £20 over 60s : £60 family). New member £10 1st year only. Match fees are £1 : visitors fee £1 per session.NOTE:- All applicants for membership MUST be fully paid up members of the Rec. Soc.

30 Oct 2009: Yorkshire Cup winners!Congratulations to the winners of the Yorkshire Cup team. This is a knockout handicap competition played during the summer season in the Newbury League. Harwell played and won 3 rounds to play against Yattendon in the final held at Woodland Club in Tilehurst. Harwell last won this trophy in 1986 !!

The link below gives the final league positions of Harwell Tennis Club teams that played in the Newbury Summer League. The Mixed A team should go up into Division 1 next season and all other teams will remain in their current leagues.
